FILE FORMATS

The Coleman Group support all Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign file formats. We also run all the latest operating systems and design software and support both Mac and PC platforms.

PREFERRED FORMATS

• Print ready PDF files
• Illustrator EPS or AI
• Photoshop PSD, EPS or TIF

PDF FILES

PDF files are accepted.  However, they should be only supplied if file manipulation is not required. Please ensure that all typefaces are converted to curves.

PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FILES

We require Photoshop, TIF, EPS or PSD files saved in CMYK colour mode (not RGB). For files that require PMS colours, please ensure that you supply a layered PSD file.

RESOLUTION

We can print up to 360dpi at full size. However, as a guide the minimum resolution at full size is 75 dpi.

FINAL LAYOUT

For vector artwork or combination image and vector (i.e. line art or type) the following is preferred:

• Illustrator EPS files are with embedded photographic image files
• Hi res PDF files that require no layout or size adjustments

For 100% image files:

• Photoshop TIF or EPS files are preferred

Please ensure all typefaces are converted to curves (outlines). InDesign files are also accepted. PDF output being the preferred file supply from these applications.

COLOURS

Please indicate all PMS colours with correct PMS numbers. CMYK breakdowns are of little use. For colour accuracy please supply an accurate colour proof for our reference.

BLEED

The amount of bleed usually depends on the application. As a general rule we allow 50mm bleed all edges, unless instructed otherwise.
