Coleman Group Recycles 50 Tonnes of Fabric, Setting a New Benchmark in Sustainable Exhibition Solutions

Coleman Group today announced a major sustainability milestone, successfully recycling over 50,000 kilograms of fabric waste through its partnership with BlockTexx. This initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to leading environmental responsibility within the exhibition and large format printing industry.

The recycled material, collected from exhibition banners, signage, and media wall fabrics, has been processed into reusable raw materials, including polyester pellets and cellulose powder. These outputs are reintroduced into manufacturing streams, ensuring that waste is not only diverted from landfill but actively contributes to a circular economy.

This milestone represents a significant environmental impact. The recycling effort is estimated to have prevented up to 1,500 tonnes of carbon emissions, an outcome comparable to removing hundreds of vehicles from the road for an entire year. In addition to the environmental benefits, the initiative has also enabled the business to reclaim valuable warehouse space previously occupied by end-of-life materials.

Coleman Group’s sustainability strategy extends beyond recycling. The company continues to invest in efficient production technologies, including dye-sublimation printing processes that minimise waste, and aluminium framing systems that are reusable across multiple installations. Together, these initiatives form a comprehensive approach to reducing environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards of quality and delivery.

Rod Peter, Managing Director of Coleman Group, said the milestone reflects a broader commitment embedded across the business. “Sustainability is no longer an optional consideration, it is a responsibility. Every project we undertake is assessed with this in mind, from material selection through to end-of-life recovery. Reaching 50 tonnes of recycled fabric is a significant step, but it is only the beginning of what we intend to achieve.”

The company is actively working with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to expand these initiatives further, with the goal of making sustainable exhibition practices the standard rather than the exception.
