It is projects such as these that truly bring Coleman Group’s ‘FABframe’ to life, showcasing the products’ raw versatility and vibrant design.
In April of this year, Australian luxury fashion brand Zimmerman hosted their “Resort 22 Collection” fashion show. This show incorporated a collection of fashion pieces created to encapsulate a sense of ‘joy’ and ‘escape’, reflecting on the positive emotions felt whilst being on vacation.
Coleman Group’s journey in this project began after Zimmerman engaged experience agency, Rizer to produce their Resort 22 Collection. Through Rizer, Coleman Group created the printed assets for the display.
This sensational presentation of fashion was enhanced through the atmospheric surroundings created with FABframe. Coleman Group created a 50-metre-long curved backdrop and a series of rigged overhead lightboxes, ultimately setting the scene through a marvellous display of colours and light.
50 Metre Curved Backdrop
This complex 50-metre curved backdrop was a colourful, continuous, flowing wall based on the initial concepts from producers, Rizer. The walls curved top and bottom rails were created using RX-105 double sided profiles, supported by a combination of RX-111 and RX114 profiles. This wall was an impressive 50 metres long and 4.8 metres high. The graphic consisted of a single printed block out “FABlack” fabric which is renowned for being seamless and light weight (the entirety of the wall only weighing a mere 96 kilograms). The concept design for this wall is shown below.
Rigged Overhead Lightboxes
Rizer designed this overhead lighting feature to compliment and encapsulate the enormity of the 50 x 4.8 metre wall. This lighting feature consisted of 34 white powder-coated RX-108 FABframe lightboxes at a size of 4 x 3 metres. The light boxes were fitted with FABlume (t) unprinted fabric skins, heavy duty corners and rigging points. These light boxes were flown from trussing and arranged alongside one another to create an illuminated ceiling feature. RGB lighting was projected through the FABlume (T) fabrics to create dramatic lighting on the floor beneath. The concept design for the rigged overhead lightboxes is shown below.
This fashion show was a testament to the power of creative collaboration in delivering experiences of wonder and awe. The final product was truly a breathtaking spectacle of vibrant colour, shapes, fashion and complex design.
It is truly amazing what you can achieve with FABframe.
